04/29/08: Psalm 71
Messianic Prophecy: "Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up" (Psalm 71:20).
Fulfillment: Jesus was subjected to many bitter troubles, including crucifixion. Then He was resurrected from the dead: "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay'" (Matthew 28:5,6).
